The Monopoly Utilities and their allies want the highest utility tax in the nation. That will ensure billions in yearly utility profits but hurt working families. AB 1999 is one step to ensure our energy future will be people-focused and rooted in clean air and lower energy costs.

Fortunately, in this year's legislative cycle, an unprecedented number of bills have been introduced in Sacramento to promote climate and environmental justice, equity, and energy democracy. We have put together a rundown and briefing on these bills. We also let you know what you or your organization can do to advocate for an equitable, clean, and affordable energy transition for all.
